The main effects and Propecia pharmacodynamics:
The active ingredient of Propecia -finasteride works by blocking the enzyme which converts testosterone into its more active form dehydrotestosterone. The active form of DHT is related to development of male pattern baldness. By decreasing DHT levels, finasteride helps prevent hair loss and regrow hair. Finasteride only works for male pattern baldness on the top and front o the head. Hair loss typical returns the application is stopped.

Propecial is used to prevent hair loss in patients with male pattern baldness.
Absolute and relative contraindications: The drug must not be used in cases of:
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparations or a known allergic reaction to drugs of the same class.
- Hepatic failure
- Renal failure
- Prostate gland cancer
- Women and children
The preparation should be used with caution after a consultation with your doctor in the following conditions:
- Obstruction of urinary passages
