The main effects and Levitra pharmacodynamics:
Levitra is erectile dysfunction medication which works by increasing blood flow to penis and causing strong and lasting erection. Action mechanism of Levitra is associated with inhibiting the enzyme (PDE5) which inactivates cyclic GMP. Accumulation of cyclic GMP in the cavernous body during sexual stimulation is characterized by relaxation of smooth muscles and increasing blood flow. After administration Levitra helps achieve erection in 45 minutes and maintain it for 4 hours.
Proposed clinical use:
Levitra is prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men over 18 years of age. Erectile dysfunction is characterized by inability to achieve and maintain erection satisfactory for sexual intercourse.
Absolute and relative contraindications: The drug must not be used in cases of:
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparations or a known allergic reaction to drugs of the same class.
- Females
- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age
- Liver diseases including intoxication, cirrhosis, hepatitis
- Kidney diseases including pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis
- Prolonged QT interval and arrhythmia
- Cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks, strokes within the past six months, hypertension or hypotension
- Retinitis pigmentosa
- Priapism
The preparation should be used with caution after a consultation with your doctor in the following conditions:
- Anatomical deformation of the penis (angulation, Peyronie's disease, or cavernosal fibrosis)
- Multiply myeloma
- Leukemia
- History of priapism
- A history of severe vision loss (including a condition called NAION).
- Stomach and duodenal ulcers
- Sickle cell anemia
- Predisposition to bleedings

- Grape fruit juice
