The main effects and Cialis pharmacodynamics:
Cialis is erectile dysfunction medication that works by increasing blood flow to penis and causing erection satisfactory for sexual intercourse. Cialis contains the active ingredient Tadalafil that is selective inhibitor of specific phosphodiesterase type 5 cyclic GMP. By inhibiting this enzyme Tadalafil increases the amount of cyclic GMP in the corpus cavernosum and thus relaxes smooth muscles of cavernous body. This ultimately helps to achieve strong and lasting erection. The main advantage of Cialis is that it works for 36 hours allowing to have several sexual intercourses during this period.
The medication works naturally meaning that it effective only in presence of sexual excitement.
Proposed clinical use:
Cialis is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men over 18 years of age. Erectile dysfunction is defined as inability to achieve and maintain erection satisfactory for sexual intercourse.
Absolute and relative contraindications: The drug must not be used in cases of:
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparations or a known allergic reaction to drugs of the same class.
- Females
- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age
- Liver diseases including intoxication, cirrhosis, hepatitis
- Kidney diseases including pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis
- Prolonged QT interval
- Arrhythmia
- Cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks, strokes, arrhythmia within the past six months, high blood pressure, low blood pressure
- Retinitis pigmentosa
- Priapism
The preparation should be used with caution after a consultation with your doctor in the following conditions:
- History of priapism
- A history of severe vision loss (including a condition called NAION).
- Stomach and duodenal ulcers
- Multiply myeloma
- Leukemia
- Sickle cell anemia
- Predisposition to hemorrhages
- Anatomical deformation of the penis (angulation, Peyronie's disease, or cavernosal fibrosis)
