The pharmacological effects of the preparation are androgenic, anabolic, antianemic, anti-inflammatory. The androgenic effects of the preparation consist in stimulation of nucleic acid and protein synthesis, promotion of cellular breathing and oxidative phosphorylation in the skeletal muscles. The preparation promotes the formation of secondary sexual characteristics. Stimulates erythropoetin production, activates reparative processes in the epithelium and promotes muscle growth. The drug may be used in athletes for bulking purposes.
Proposed clinical use: The preparation may be indicated in treatment of the following disorders:
- Diabetic retinopathy
- Progressing muscle dystrophy
- Werdnig-Hoffmann syndrome
- Increased levels of catabolic processes
