Methandrostenolone is a synthetic steroid that has a strong anabolic and mild androgenic effects. Stimulates protein synthesis in the body, causing retention of nitrogen, calcium, sodium, potassium, sulfur, chloride and phosphorus, which leads to an increase in muscle mass, accelerated bone growth, water retention in the body.
Proposed clinical use:
- cachexia of various origins
- violations of protein metabolism after severe trauma, infectious diseases, burns, surgery, radiation therapy
- osteoporosis of various genesis, progressive muscular dystrophy
- prevention of myopathy and osteoporosis in patients taking glucocorticoids
- retarded callus formation after fractures
- in pediatric practice - growth retardation, Turner syndrome, anorexia and malnutrition.
Absolute and relative contraindications: The drug must not be used in cases of:
- hypersensitivity to the components of the preparations or a known allergic reaction to drugs of the same class.
- pregnancy, breastfeeding
- cancer or adenoma of the prostate gland
- acute or chronic prostatitis
- breast cancer in men
- severe liver disorders
- coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, heart failure
- diabetes
- hypercalcemia
The preparation should be used with caution after a consultation with your doctor in the following conditions:
- elderly patients
- children and teenagers (the risk of premature closure of epiphyseal growth zones and early puberty in boys and virilization in girls)
