The main effects and Deca-Durabolin pharmacodynamics:
Deca-Durabolin an anabolic steroid of prolonged action with androgenic and anabolic properties. It's active component, Nandrolone decanoate, increases muscle mass and reduces fat, accelerates the growth of male genitals and the development of secondary sexual characteristics of male type. Deca-Durabolin also promotes the fixation of calcium in the bones, increasing bone mass in osteoporosis. It stimulates the secretory activity of androgen dependent glands. In large doses causes suppression of Leydig cells and reduces synthesis of endogenous sex hormones through inhibition of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone production by pituitary gland.
Deca-Durabolin activates the reparative processes in the epithelium, bone and muscle tissues as a result of stimulation of protein and structural components of cells synthesis. Has a positive effect on nitrogen balance. Promotes erythropoietin production and activates anabolic processes in bone marrow, that, with concomitant use of iron remedies, becomes an excellent medicine for anemia.

Absolute and relative contraindications: The drug must not be used in cases of:
- hypersensitivity to the components of the preparations or a known allergic reaction to drugs of the same class
- carcinoma or hypertrophy of prostatic gland
- acute and chronic prostatitis
- breast cancer in men, breast carcinoma in women with hypercalcemia
- CHD, marked atherosclerosis, heart failure and other conditions accompanied by edema
- acute and chronic liver disease, including alcoholic lesions
- nephritis, nephrotic syndrome
- pregnancy, breastfeeding
