The main effects and Proviron pharmacodynamics:
Proviron is an androgen. In the course of substitution therapy, it stimulates the development of male sex organs and secondary sexual characteristics, increases libido and potency. Proviron has anabolic properties, increases the accumulation of protein in the tissues, especially in the muscles, accelerates bone growth and the rate of closure of epiphyses, stimulates erythropoiesis.
Proposed clinical use:
- hypoandrogenia with clinical manifestations
- impotence (also in combination with other drugs)
- hypofunction of sexual glands (hypogonadism)
- male infertility (in oligospermia and Leydig cells insufficiency)
- reduced testosterone
Absolute and relative contraindications: The drug must not be used in cases of:
- hypersensitivity to the components of the preparations or a known allergic reaction to drugs of the same class.
- male patients aged 16 and less
- liver tumors
- prostatic carcinoma
- high blood calcium level
The preparation should be used with caution after a consultation with your doctor in the following conditions:
- diabetes
- hepatic / renal insufficiency
- migraines
- epilepsy
Possible adverse reactions: As any drug Proviron may express specific side effects. If a side effect is stated below it will not necessarily appear during the use of the preparation. However if any of the given side effects do manifest please consult your doctor immediately. Masterolone adverse effects include the following:
- frequent and prolonged erections (dose dependent)
- swelling
- headache
- pain in epigastric area
- weight loss
- acne
- aggression
